So Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are essentially the same thing, ones made by one company and another is made by another company. And what has happened is Semaglutide was not very good with their patents. And when they were submitting to the FDA. So we are able to get it a little bit easier. Tirzepatide, the company that made it, actually was a lot tighter on their FDA and on their restrictions, so we couldn’t access it as easily.

But really, you may hear with Tirzepatide you might have some less side effects, you might have a little bit better weight loss. Personally, as a provider that has seen several hundred patients, I really haven’t seen a whole lot of difference. And so I really think it comes down to cost. You know Tirzepatide you are going to be able to find it for like $600USD, maybe $650 for four injections where with Semaglutide, you’re going to see anywhere from like $300USD to maybe $400 or $500 per four injections. So really it just depends on if one doesn’t work for you, try the other one. And a lot of times we have people going from Semaglutide to the Tirzepatide just to see if there is a difference. And I personally just tried to start this as well for myself, just to see is there a little bit of a difference.

So really it comes down to the manufacturers and which one we can get a little bit easier. And that’s the Semaglutide, we are able to offer the Tirzepatide, but it is a bigger cost.
